Favorite Scary Movies

What's YOUR FAVORITE SCARY MOVIE?
The YOUTUBE Clip is from one of my favorites.. "HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL" With Vincent Price.
This movie is full of creaking doors, dark corridors,  and blood curdling screams!!! all in BLACK N WHITE!! ...yesss!
I grew up watching those  "oh so bad"  but OH SO GOOD "B" movies... and I love them!
Nothing better than  Going to Olympia Theater with friends, for a Saturday Matinee.

We'd sit there, hiding behind are Popcorn, slouched down in our seats..... waiting to have our wits scared out of us.

During the month of October, TCM (Turner Classic Movies) are showing some of my favorite scary movies!
as they say, "check your local listings"

Scheduled to air:
(the original) FRANKENSTEIN with Boris Karloff
Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde
Mark of the Vampire
The Wolfman
House on Haunted Hill
The Tingler
House of Wax
..... AND MORE!!

I'm hoping I can get to watch them all!

I'd love to hear what your favorite scary movie is... so leave me a comment!

FAVORITES

My weekend is winding down.. ehhh.
I'm still working on cleaning out old forgotten files. I'm still finding artwork and other favorites, so I thought I'd share a few more with you.

I love this little guy!
He's only about the size of a Tangerine...
his expression is wonderful! I picked him up a few
years ago, at "The Flower Factory"...which has since closed
I miss it, they had awesome HALLOWEEN
DECORATIONS!

My first published piece!
in Somerset Studio Magazine's
2008 "Vintage Halloween" issue.
It was so exciting!

A custom Halloween Wedding card I made for a friend
The wedding guests were in costume! How fun is that??

I'm so thrilled to own one of Johanna Parker's pieces
his name is "Julius!"
and I'm giving him a good home!

"Happy Jack"
My original painting.
I couldn't part with him!
I even put his image on a T-shirt.

Last Day of Summer

This one still makes me laugh!

So, it's the last day of Summer! can you believe it? Did your Summer fly by too?
The weather here, has been a little un-seasonable, the temps have been in the mid to high 60s-70s..
I'm not complaining.. I love this kind of weather. I'm just not sure if I'm ready to part with Summer just yet.
But all signs show its over. Pumpkins on display, at the nearby "Mapleside Farms" a cool place that has a restaurant, Ice Cream stand, gift shop and Jazz concerts every Friday, outdoors overlooking the valley of Apple Orchards. This past weekend, they held their annual "Johnny Appleseed Festival"...... which caused a traffic jam. I was not going to the festival, I was on my way to work.... and I wasn't very happy.

Cleaning computer files..... I'm never gonna finish!

I came across tons of "files in files"... which included some of my Halloween artwork from past years.
I KNEW I had more stuff floating around!

Some items for sale at my craft show a few years ago

I made this to sell... but couldn't part with it!
Original painted Happy Vampire!

Fun hand painted Jack-O-Lantern Magnets

Cute little Pumpkin Fairy
Original Collage 2006
More passed HALLOWEEN ART to come....just as soon as I find it... tsk...tsk.. tsk.. I'm bad.

Yay!  I got some Halloween jewelry done!
I just posted these on Etsy. I'm still working on other
pieces.  I'm on a roll!

I just love Halloween colors.
These are just some of the beads I'm using to make Halloween jewelry.
I've been in Pat Catan's (our local Art & Craft shop) twice this week! I've got to stop buying and start making!
I just wish I had more time to do art. During the week, I'm trying to wind down from work and I'm distracted so I  have a hard time focusing on art. I prefer the weekends, when I can spend the whole day and night. It's hard, because I work ever other weekend..... so......like I said.... not much time.
I really should make a point to try and work in the evenings.... and stop watching tv and stay off Facebook...... !
So, with this Labor Day weekend, I'm hoping to really get some art done..... we'll see!
